Should Internet Be Regulated?

    The internet has dramatically changed the way we access information. Some people think that there is a lot of harmful content with very little regulation online; they argue that strick policies are needed to regulate the internet. Others oppose this view and think that the internet should not be regulated.

    Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion. Give reasons for our answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experiance. Write at least 250 words.

    Intenet is the most important development of the World in the past century. Since last two decades, internet entered to our lives actively and helped us to find any information instantly. Benefits of internet are countless. We learn what is goning on in the world just with one click. However, beside all its benefits, internet could also be used by bad aimed people who display harmful content such as violance, pornography, gambling etc. And these contents become very dangerous once they entered to our life easily. If there is no restiriction on bad content, internet would be a terrific weapon for human being. There are many arguments on the regulation of internet. Some people belive that internet should be regulated so that people only reach to content beneficial for them. And some others think that there should be no restiriction on web sites, people have will1power to decide which web site they want to go.

    People who are in favor of regulation say that any age group of individuals especially children can access to any web page. Whether intentionally or not, once they see head cutting scene on the page, their brain and soul get a bad impact. This causes children to have long term problems in their life. Also when they see an adult content on a web page, they again get a bad impact from the content and tend to be more attacking in their future life. 

    On the other hand, people who are in favor of not regulation think that we are all human beings and we all have willpower. We make our own choices and if we want we would not go to sites contains bad content. 

    In conclusion, although we all have willpower and able to make our own decisions, it is sometimes inavoidable to click on a web page that contains bad content. Therefore, I think we should have some strick restirictions on internet usage policy. People who displace harmful contetnt should be punished so that no one would ever tend to commit something like this again.
